The basic condition for top wines is the location of good vineyard sites. Our vineyards are located on the gentle south-east slopes of the local hill, called Soosser Lindkogel, perched above the Vienna Forest. The rich brown-earth soil with a high content of shell limestone provides for outstanding grapes, year after year. And the soil’s fine mineral content is the perfect basis for the cool elegance of our red wines. Not without any reason, the Thermenregion is often referred to as “Burgundy of Austria”. The climatic conditions and the terroir are very similar to the French Burgundy.
